I transferred to OU from Stephens College in Columbia, Missouri and was initiated with the pledge class of 1959. My big sister in Alpha Chi was Diana Dunlap, who sadly died of cancer in her 30s. Ron and I married after our graduation from OU and he spent his entire career with Conoco. We lived for some years in Lake Charles, Louisiana, and I taught high school Spanish. We have been in the Houston area since 1970. Our daughter attended Baylor and graduated from Texas A&M and then earned a master’s in social work from the University of Houston. She is married and has twin daughters, now age 14. We enjoy our trips to Austin to see them very much. For ‘fun’ I sing with my church choir. (And I remember fondly Rhetta Reynolds leading the AXO house in University Sing.) We have made several church choir tours, including to Europe. Recently I’ve taken up making jewelry and find it very satisfying. So many happy memories of OU and the Alpha Chi’s!
