Notes Then Now
I tried to retire as Elementary Headmaster at Christian Heritage Academy about 3 years ago, but before the ink was dry on the papers, I was back doing special projects. Right now I’m finishing up a huge self-study report on the school as part of re-accreditation. Walter and I are proud to join the “Fifty Years of Marriage” Club. We celebrated by taking a cruise to Alaska. Our family consists of three sons and one daughter. I was 60 before I became a grandmother—but it was worth the wait. We now have 4 grandkids—another generation of 3 boys and 1 girl.
I also belong on the “over-educated” list. My last (of 4) degrees is a doctorate in Ministry from Luther Rice Seminary.
Over the years I have hosted many of the AXO’s from the Stillwater chapter at a reunion at our vacation home on Lake Eufaula.
And for those of you in the Oklahoma City area that attended NWC, the women of the class of ’56 meet periodically for lunch. E-mail me for details. I’m happy to be back in touch with everyone. Cynthia
